Philemon Opong Sika is Ghanaian artist born in the 1966 Accra, Ghana.[1]

Philemon Opong Sika, commonly known as P.O. Sika underwent his classical training at the Ghanatta College of Art in Accra and graduated in Art Education in 1985. He taught art while managing his private studio at the same time. However, he is now a full-time artist. He draws inspiration from the traditional, cultural, and social life of Africans, effectively combining realism and abstraction. His choice of mediums ranges from oil paint, acrylic, watercolor to ink drawings.

According to the African Art Products (AAP) website, "He won the national prize at the 12th World Youth and Student Art Competition in Ghana in 1985 and participated in the Moscow Arts Festival." He exhibited his works both in Ghana and abroad. The AAP website adds that "The National Museum of Ghana has, in fact, acquired his work titled 'The Call of Sankofa[2].
