I want to be granted administrative right on the Twi Wikipedia. My native language is Twi. I understand Wikipedia policies, and I want to be given this right to help me properly maintain Twi Wikipedia.

I've made over 1,000 translations from English to Twi on the Translate Wiki.

There is so much maintenance I can use the administrator tools to perform, including cleaning backlog, protecting pages, dealing with disputes, maintaining contents, creating projects pages and more

Also, there are currently no administrators on Twi Wikipedia, which has led to improper supervision on its Wikipedia.

I hope my request will be considered.Robertjamal12 (talk) 12:47, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

  • Support. I don't know Twi, but I noticed Robert's excellent work on the English Wikipedia, the Twi Wikipedia, and also on translatewiki.net. He clearly understands how Wikipedia's software and policy work, and he can be trusted with the administrator permissions. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:17, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Support. Robert is a prolific editor on the Twi Wikipedia considering his overall contributions. He will do so much for the Twi Wikipedia when granted an administrator role. I strongly support his request. Shahadusadik (talk) 13:28, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Support I fully support he is given this admin rights because he understands and writes the Twi language. And also considering what he is doing in Twi Wikipedia. DaSupremo (talk) 16:45, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Support I Strongly support the request, Robert is passionate about the welfare of the Twi Wikipedia, He is a trainer and contributor, when granted the administrator right, he will help develop and increase content and the community of editors on the Twi Wikipedia.NanaYawBotar (talk)
  • Support I strongly support Robert because, as a native speaker of twi and someone who has passion, time devoting and so desperate to help in the twi wikipedia, when given the administrative right he can maintain and help improve twi wikipediato the next level.AC Krah (talk) 08:37, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Support Me foa so paa. Adwuma a Robert ayɛ no wɔ Wikipedia Twi no ɛsɔ ani enti no megyedi sɛ ɔbɛtumi ayɛ adwuma no. - I strongly support it. The work Robert has done on Twi Wikipedia is satisfactory and so I believe he is capable of doing this. –– Ampimd (talk) 18:43, 24 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]
  • Support I support Roberts request to serve as an Administrator. I know that he is fluent and can write very good Twi. There are so many fractions of the Twi language, one word can mean another to the same Twi clan. Due to duplication and some errors currently on the Twi platform I believe it is important to have some clean ups and proper categorisation. I therefore endorse Robert's request.Joy Agyepong (talk) 17:12, 28 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]

English Translation of Valentine's point: "I do not support him because if anyone can do the work, the person should be able to speak and write well in Twi. But from the text Robert wrote in Twi, I am not confident he can write well in Twi. For instance he used Ngreesi to mean English when Ngreesi means abroad and this changed the whole meaning of his text for me. Because of this and other errors, I am not confident Robert will be able to do the job."
Ngresi means English and amanɔne means abroad. English language means Ngressi brɔfo kasa or brɔfo kasa. Thank you Robertjamal12 (talk) 09:44, 26 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]

  • Neutral because:
As someone who is not a native speaker of Twi but have been working with native speakers to help create a community of Twi editors for the Twi Wikipedia, I must commend Robert for his bold step to seek for administrative right and his contributions to the Twi Wikipedia project. It will be nice to have an administrator on Twi Wikipedia.
However, in my humble opinion looking at how long Robert has been contributing on Twi Wikipedia and his contributions which is mostly on Translatewiki.net, arranging text and adding categories to articles, I think it might be too soon for Robert to be granted administrative right.
And if given the administrative right, it is still not clear to me what he will be using it for. I would love to hear from Robert some example pages that need protecting and his experience resolving disputes. It would be nice to know some disputes he has helped solve even on English Wikipedia. I haven't yet come across any disputes on Twi Wikipedia. And I have been able to create a project page on Twi Wikipedia without the need for administrative right.
So at least just one clear explicit example of what Robert will use the administrative right to solve currently on Twi Wikipedia will be very much appreciated.Celestinesucess (talk) 09:05, 25 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]
We currently don't have local admins here, and I'd like to take the first step. As a small Wiki, we don't have the usual problems big wikis have. However, we lack policies and maintenances (e.g. arranging text, adding categories, Translating from Translate Wiki, among others), which I think with the Administrator the right, I can come together with the community to improve Wikipedia's software and policy on our local Wiki. Thank you Robertjamal12 (talk) 09:44, 25 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]
Thank you Robert for your response. And I agree that with the administrative right you can help with a lot of maintenance work including deleting pages which are in different languages, written by outsiders that are not supposed to be on Twi Wikipedia. And we can work with you to redesign the Twi Wikipedia main page. So on that note, I will support your request, good luck.Celestinesucess (talk) 09:54, 25 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]
Thank you Robertjamal12 (talk) 10:11, 25 Obubuo 2021 (UTC)[mmuaeɛ]
What you are saying is very true no doubt about it and for the fact that you have taken the first step does not automatically make you have our support, you stated of correct sentences formations and correct translations, check your request statement and correct it yourself, how can you correct sentences while some of your sentences and translations are not correct.
