Peter Paul Yelezuome Angkyier also known as Most Reverend Bishop Peter Paul Yelezuome Angkyier was born on 26th November 1961 in Nandon, Upper West Region of Ghana. He is the son of Sylvino Domekyere Angkyier and Victoria Bekpar.

Young Angkyier did his Ordinary level at Saint Charles Secondary School in Tamale and Advance Level at Tamale Secondary School. He continued his Philosophical and Theological studies at Saint Victors Major Seminary in Tamale (1985-1992).


He was ordained Priest on 15th august 1992 at Our Lady of Annunciation Cathedral, Tamale. With the Canonical erection of Damango Diocese in1995, he was transferred there and became member of the local clergy.

From 1992 -1993, he was the Assistant Priest and Youth Chaplain, Martyrs of Uganda Parish, Bole.

From 1994 -1996 He was made Chaplain of the English Speaking African Students Community, Archdiocese of Vienna Austria

From 1996 -2000 he continued his studies in clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, Pontifical Gregorian University Rome. He became a therapist and counselor at Institute of Psychology, Rome.

From 2000-2009 he became the vicar General of Damango Diocese
