Main function of the Respiratory system
[sesa]The main function of the respiratory system is gas exchange. Carbon dioxide is Carried to the lungs in erythrocrytes, and then it is released. Then, the erythrocytes collect oxygen and dieliver this essential gas to the Body. The mucus in the respiratory system helps to protect the system, as well carry debrisout of the respiratory tract, which is assisted by the movements of little hair like structures called cilia. Smoking causes the cilia to stop working, and that is why smokers have coughs. It takes 28 days for the cilia to wake up and start working again after someone quits smoking. The cilia also help remove pollution. The main function of the respiratory system is to discard waste in the form of carbon dioxide and to take in oxygen.
Types of Blood cells
[sesa]The types of blood cells are Red blood cells, White blood cells, and platelets.
I.Red blood cells
[sesa]Red blood cells are blood cells that have oxygen in them, and always travel away from the heart. the red blood cells also carry the oxygen the have to different parts of the body.
II.White blood cells
[sesa]White blood cells act as a defense system for the circulatory system.
III.Platelets
[sesa]The platelets are a Clotting tool to help clog up wounds. when you cut yourself, the platelets make a scab.
